Silicone-coated medical release paper is a technical liner material used to protect adhesive surfaces in wound care products, medical tapes and other pressure-sensitive medical applications. Napol Global products can be supplied in basis weights ranging from 35 g/m² to 135 g/m², with paper substrate options including glassine, kraft and CCK. The solvent-free silicone release coating protects the adhesive surface during manufacturing, converting, storage and handling while enabling controlled removal of the liner.
Release level can be selected according to the characteristics of the pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) and the specific application requirements. As adhesive chemistry, peel speed and process conditions influence release behaviour, liner selection should be application-specific. Controlled and consistent release performance supports stable web handling and repeatable separation during rewinding, lamination, die-cutting and automated packaging processes.
