Tape Applications

Pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape manufacturing requires controlled release, consistent winding, precision converting and reliable liner performance. The selection of a silicone-coated paper or film release liner influences processing behaviour throughout tape manufacturing and application.

Napol Global offers silicone-coated CCK, glassine and kraft papers together with PET, PE, PP/BOPP and CPP release films for tape applications. Liner selection should consider adhesive chemistry, tape construction, target release force, roll dimensions, winding direction and converting conditions.

Applications

Silicone-coated paper and film release liners can be used for double-sided tapes, transfer tapes, foam tapes, industrial mounting tapes, medical tapes, automotive tapes and precision die-cut adhesive components.

For double-sided and transfer-tape constructions, differential release can be engineered by specifying different release forces on each side, enabling controlled liner removal and application sequencing.

Technical Requirements

Key requirements include consistent release force, adhesive compatibility, stable winding, low silicone transfer, precision die-cutting performance and consistent processing throughout the roll.
