Carrier materials used in composite production, prepreg processes, technical lamination and resin-surface applications must provide controlled release, surface protection and process stability.
Silicone-coated paper, HDPE silicone-coated film and PET silicone-coated film solutions can be used in these applications. Selection is evaluated according to resin type, process temperature, surface requirements, roll width, basis weight or film thickness, and the target release level.
While silicone-coated paper offers an economical and stable carrier solution, HDPE silicone-coated film is evaluated for processes requiring flexibility and surface conformability, and PET silicone-coated film for technical applications requiring dimensional stability, a smooth surface and heat resistance.
In prepreg handling, composite lamination, technical textiles and industrial multilayer production processes, selecting the right release liner is important for surface quality, layer control and production efficiency.
