Cold-Seal Coated Paper

Napol Global cold-seal coated papers are technical packaging materials developed for high-speed packaging applications such as adhesive bandages, wound dressings, heat patches and medicated patches. Seals are formed without heat through coated-to-coated contact under pressure. Pattern-coated or full-surface coating options allow the coating layout and product-contact areas to be configured according to specific packaging requirements.

Available in printed and unprinted versions, these papers are particularly suitable for heat-sensitive products, reducing thermal exposure during packaging while supporting efficient operation on high-speed packaging lines.

Cold-seal coating technology is used, with both pattern-coated and full-surface configurations available.
The coating can be applied to suitable kraft paper substrates. Printed and custom graphic options are available.
Designed for high-speed automated packaging lines and adaptable to different pack geometries and machine configurations.

Technical Information

Product Advantages

The heat-free sealing mechanism reduces thermal exposure during the packaging of heat-sensitive products.
Eliminating the need for heated sealing jaws supports high line speeds and process efficiency.
Controlled bonding between opposing cold-seal coated surfaces supports consistent and controlled opening performance.

Applications

Outer packaging for adhesive bandages and wound dressings. Packaging of heat patches and body patches. Outer packaging for medicated and topical patches. Technical paper applications for high-speed automated form-fill-seal (FFS) packaging lines.
