Silicone-coated film is a technical release film that protects adhesive surfaces during production, cutting, winding, lamination, storage and application. Compared with paper-based release liners, it offers a smoother surface, better dimensional stability, more controlled thickness and, in some applications, cleaner release performance.

Napol Global silicone-coated film solutions are supplied in different film bases such as PET, PE, PP, OPP/BOPP and CPP, with single- or double-sided silicone coating options and application-specific release levels.

When Is Silicone-Coated Film Preferred?

Silicone-coated film is preferred when high surface smoothness, transparency, precision cutting, low deformation, dimensional stability or clean release performance is required.

It is especially advantageous in medical adhesive products, precision die-cut parts, electronic components, double-sided tapes, protective films, label applications, technical lamination and high-performance adhesive systems.

Selection by Film Base

PET silicone-coated film, is suitable for applications requiring high stability and precision cutting.
PE silicone-coated film, is preferred in processes requiring flexibility and surface conformability.
PP / BOPP silicone-coated film, delivers balanced performance in tape, label and lamination applications.
CPP silicone-coated film, is used in applications requiring a softer and more flexible film structure.
Double-sided silicone-coated film, is suitable for adhesive systems requiring controlled release on both surfaces.
