Silicone-Coated PET Release Film

A PET-based release liner designed for pressure-sensitive adhesive applications requiring high surface smoothness, dimensional stability and precision converting performance.

Silicone-coated PET release film is produced by applying a silicone release coating to one or both sides of a polyester (PET) film substrate. The smooth surface, mechanical strength and high dimensional stability of PET support reliable web handling in precision lamination, die-cutting and high-speed converting processes.

Its optical clarity is advantageous for applications requiring visual or optical inspection, while its low sensitivity to moisture supports dimensional stability under varying environmental conditions.

Key Advantages

The smooth surface and dimensional stability of the PET substrate support uniform silicone coating and repeatable release performance. Its optical clarity provides an additional advantage in precision converting and applications requiring visual inspection.

Applications

Medical tapes, wound-care products, electrodes, double-sided and transfer tapes, precision die-cut components for electronics, protective films, labels and technical laminates.

Product Selection

Adhesive system, target release force, film thickness, optical requirements, die-cut geometry, winding direction and production-line conditions should be evaluated together when selecting the appropriate PET release film.
